Jon’s passion for residential construction and design stems from a lifelong passion for residential construction and design. Raised in Tidewater Virginia, his parents instilled a love for historic homes where he spent untold weekends visiting historic Williamsburg and Richmond. This ultimately led to seeking a Master's degree from The University of Virginia where following graduation, he dedicated 15 years to practicing architecture with esteemed firms in Atlanta.
Drawing from his extensive experience in both architecture and construction, he felt a need for seamless integration of these disciplines. This realization inspired the founding of Northside Builders, where his expertise of construction and architecture becomes the home of your dreams.
In his leisure time, Jon enjoys cooking as well as traveling with his daughters where he continually explores architecture that informs Northside Builders, as well as working on his cottage in West Midtown.
John, an Atlanta native and a third-generation builder, possesses an unwavering passion for intricate and bespoke projects.From a young age, he immersed himself in theworld of construction, spending his afternoons on job sites, jugglingsports, oddjobs and lending a helping hand wherever needed.Introduced to home building by his grandfather, John developed a keen understanding of the nuances involved in crafting custom residences.
During college breaks, John returned home to work alongside his family, refining his practical skills and absorbing invaluable insights into successful built environments. Eager to deepen his knowledge, he pursued a major in construction engineering. Following graduation, John embarked on a diverse career journey, gaining expertise in commercial construction, multi-family development, designandresidential building. Driven by a lifelong aspiration to establish a design-build firm, John co-founded Northside Builders in 2019, a venture aimed at reconnecting with his familial roots.
In his leisure time, he relishes moments with Madeline and their dog Oliver, embracing outdoor adventures, continuous learning, golfing, and exploring the wonders of the world through travel.
